In this position you take over the following responsibilities: To direct and to manage whole Category “Metal”, through steering the “Cross Functional Team (CFT)” of Product Management, Quality, R&D, Logistics and Procurement Supervise and manage contract management for all related categories. Manage organization and supplier expectations through supplier management process. Build world class supplier base, also promoting Globally Competitive Regions and Supplier Development Processes Drive cost out programs for supply chain not only by commercial activities but also through Value Analysis Workshops, Lean Management, and Six Sigma. Work closely with Supplier Development / Quality / Engineering / Product Marketing Ensure the global development and deployment of Category Strategies Give leadership guidance both to the CFT team and organization. Set SMART goals. Work across the regions with other regional peers to find the best solutions Consult Solarworlds “metal council” as subject matter expert in all metal development to develop right hedging strategies.
