Conversion to a permanent professorship (tenure) is intended. The salary is negotiable within theGerman W3-grade salary band on an employee basis only.We are looking for an individual from within the scientific or industrial community which candemonstrate excellence in scientific skills and achievements in the areas of: Constitutive behaviour within the solid and liquid phase Metal processing control including sensing.Further experience in areas such as Simulation of solidification processes and microstructure evolution Precision forming within the liquid phase Process control and thermomechanical processesis most welcome.The areas addressed will have to be represented in teaching and research. A broad experiencegathered in acquisition and management of publicly funded research projects as well as in appliedresearch is advantageous. Teaching skills, leadership of a team within the Fraunhofer-Institute forNon-Destructive Testing (IZFP) and an interest in running inter-disciplinary projects are prerequisite.Expected are outstanding scientific qualifications, skills in didactics and management as well asengagement in teaching.
