BackgroundThe United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) is the focus of thepolitical process to address Climate Change. The Convention secretariat supports the Convention andits Kyoto Protocol by a range of activities, including substantive and organizational support to meetings ofthe Parties.The Mitigation, Data and Analysis programme supports the intergovernmental negotiations onmatters relating to national communications, inventories, assigned amounts and policy instruments.ResponsibilitiesUnder the direct supervision of the NCS Programme Officer (Team Lead), and the generalguidance of the Manager, Non-Annex I support sub-programme, the Programme Officer is accountablefor support to NAI Parties’ measurement and reporting of NAMAs as well as support to verification ofactions by NAI Parties (international consultation and analysis).
