Our Scientific Modelling Team provides BASF-widesupport based on mathematical modelling. Thisincludes model-based analysis and design ofexperiments as well as process optimization withapplications in Chemistry, Physics and Biology.From the beginning you will be responsible forprojects in the field of Scientific Computing andclosely cooperate with other BASF Research andDevelopment units. Beyond that, you willcommunicate the ideas and solutions ofmathematical methods to a broad community ofnon-mathematicians and act as a driving force ininterdisciplinary project teams. You will alsoevaluate new scientific approaches and explorenew application technologies. The establishmentand maintenance of an academic research networkis within the scope of your tasks as well. You have completed your university studies with anoutstanding Ph.D. in Natural Sciences, ChemicalEngineering or Mathematics. Besides a strongbackground in mathematical modelling andoptimization you are experienced in programmingand familiar with nonlinear dynamics andmathematics applied to real world problems.Preferably you have already gained experience inan international and interdisciplinary workingenvironment and are used to working inmulticultural teams.
