Assistant controller for the EMEA Statutory controller Core accounting and reporting, and intercompany reconsiliation Preparation and approval of balance sheet account reconciliations according to GE policy Perform balance sheet account analysis to ensure compliance, integrity of financial reporting Support preparation of month-quarterly and year end closing (US GAAP): in accordance with the GE fiscal & FP&A reporting calendars Assistance with annual statutory returns, external audits (KPMG, tax authorities) Ensure compliance with local accounting and tax regulations across EMEA Support transfer pricing analysis Assist with preparation of DR and other HQ requests Sales booking entries in accordance with US GAAP and revenue recognition policy (manage deferrals/recognitions /accruals) Support VAT and Tax compliance Support ad hoc projects as needed including simplifications/process improvements Qualifications/Requirements Senior accountant or MBA from a college of higher education (German: Fachhochschule) Minimum 3-5 years of financial accounting experience including general accounting Strong accounting knowledge (local GAAP and exposure to US GAAP) Proven Financial Analysis Skills Attention to detail with ability to think in processes and ensure deliverables are connected with ope ...
