Group Actuarial is the corporate actuarial department of the Allianz Group, based in Munich, Germany. The Group Actuarial Life Team is responsible for overseeing the actuarial activities of its Life companies worldwide. Focus is on the global reporting for IFRS reserves and other actuarial balance sheet items, Market Consistent Embedded Value and actuarial profit source analysis.Group Actuarial is at the forefront of the new developments such as IFRS Phase II, Solvency II and Market Consistent Embedded Value. Its team members combine an excellent technical background with good communication and organisation skills, to be able to discuss the new developments and understand the overall financial results, but also being able to explain this to colleagues and others, translate this into minimum standards and guidelines and understand the practical implications for implementation.
