As a Senior Electromagnetics Researcher you will be involved in the concept, design & analysis of new electrical machines and actuators for applications across multiple GE businesses such as Energy, Aviation and Transportation. In the near term you will be positioned to lead key technical tasks and sub-teams which can be global and cross cultural in their composition across multiple global locations within GE. During the course of your research you will have the opportunity to participate & define technology roadmaps in your technology & application domains. As successful candidate you will be expected to be a technical pillar within the organization while executing on key technical challenges for a given Electrical machine application in GE business units.You must be well conversant with the existing state of the art in electrical machines technologies with demonstrated experience in developing technology which has gone into a product. Consequently you should possess knowledge and skills which can enable transfer of technology from research stage to a product and the challenges thereof. A strong knowledge of design of rotating electrical machines such as Finite Element Analysis and also first order Analytic models using excel or MATLAB are essential.
