In this role you will lead the Admissions Department at Bronson Behavioral Health Hospital, guiding the intake and admission process within a multidisciplinary team. You will implement strategic plans to attract and route potential clients to treatment, while ensuring quality, compliance, and patient safety. You’ll train staff, coordinate evaluations, and act as a clinical liaison with referral sources to support organizational goals. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Provide leadership to the Admissions Department and foster an integrated team
- Execute the strategic plan for business development and marketing as it relates to admissions
- Lead quality management for crisis triage, evaluation, intake, and admission
- Schedule and assign evaluations, intakes, and admissions; manage hospital census
- Implement QA/QI programs for admissions processes
- Perform follow-up communications and provide recommendations to leadership
- Deliver orientation, in-service, and continuing education for staff
- Serve as clinical liaison with referral sources
- Improve efficiency and quality of departmental services
- Ensure compliance with new laws and regulations
- Train and supervise staff; plan and allocate duties for patient safety
- Prioritize admissions based on patient needs and capacity
- Maintain knowledge of clinical assessment and interventions
- Provide guidance to staff to foster trust and teamwork
- Complete EMTALA log for admissions as applicable
- Mentor new admission team employees
- Maintain positive, empathetic, professional customer interactions
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor's degree in a social services field
- Two or more years’ experience in healthcare admissions (preferred)
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification (required)
- May require state licensure for the position
- Master’s degree in social services or RN (preferred)
- First aid may be required (depending on state/facility)
