In this role you lead the Department of Psychology to advance research, teaching, and service within a Carnegie R1 university context. You will guide faculty governance, recruitment, mentoring, and strategic program development while overseeing operations and resources. You will champion collaboration across cross-functional teams and represent the department externally. This position offers the opportunity to shape undergraduate and graduate programs and support scholarly excellence.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Guide department growth and excellence in research, teaching, and service
Oversee operations: faculty, staff, budget, facilities, course scheduling
Foster scholarly collaboration and faculty governance
Lead recruitment, hiring, mentoring, and career progression
Evaluate faculty and oversee promotion applications
Strengthen undergraduate and graduate degree programs and student affairs
Represent the department internally and externally
Maintain an active, high-quality research program while managing administrative duties

Zentrale Anforderungen

Ph.D. in Psychology or closely related field
Tenured status and a record warranting tenure at a Carnegie R1 institution
Evidence of prior success in substantive academic leadership roles in a university department
