Experteer Overview
In this role you will lead SMX's content licensing strategy and operations to grow global reach for licensable footage, photos, and short-form content. You will guide licensing strategy, rights management, and license negotiations, partnering with internal teams and external licensees. You will oversee the newly launched content licensing unit and ensure compliant, high-quality delivery of content requests. This is a cross-functional, externally-facing role that drives revenue growth and asset protection in a fast-paced sports entertainment environment.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Provide strategic leadership for Content Licensing, including licensing strategy and rights management
- Serve as primary contact for all footage and photo licensing needs for SMX
- Manage Formstack/Intellistack enterprise license and systems
- Lead negotiation of license agreements and renewals for favorable terms
- Collaborate with Operations, Global Partnerships, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, and Legal on content requests
- Perform due diligence to assess feasibility and risks of content requests and usage parameters
- Manage compliance and reporting of content usage to internal stakeholders
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 5+ years' experience in media licensing, rights management, or content acquisition, preferably in sports media
- 5-7 years in a fast-paced media environment, preferably in sports entertainment
- Strong understanding of IP and copyright law and contract negotiation
- College degree
- Ability to handle a high volume of requests with attention to detail
- Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and extensive hours when needed
- Self-motivated, independent yet team-oriented
