Experteer Overview

As Director of Engineering you will lead the strategic direction and daily operations of engineering, maintenance, and facilities across Rosewood Schloss Fuschl. You will safeguard assets, ensure safety and compliance, and drive sustainability initiatives to deliver a premium guest environment. You will partner with the Managing Director and Executive Committee to align engineering strategy with business goals and capital planning. This role offers high-impact work shaping asset preservation, energy management, and luxury service standards in a iconic property.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Develop and execute the Engineering Department strategy aligned with hotel business objectives
Advise the Managing Director and Executive Committee on engineering, maintenance, sustainability, CAPEX, and asset preservation
Lead long-term asset management planning and lifecycle replacement strategies
Ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, life safety, and technical systems
Establish and manage comprehensive preventive maintenance programmes
Develop and lead energy management and sustainability initiatives
Monitor utility consumption, set reduction targets, and identify efficiency opportunities
Develop and manage departmental operating and capital expenditure budgets
Ensure cost-effective maintenance operations while maintaining luxury service standards
Support operational decision-making through technical expertise and proactive problem-solving

Zentrale Anforderungen

Minimum 7 - 10 years of progressive engineering leadership experience within luxury hospitality, resorts, or comparable environments
Experience leading engineering teams and managing capital projects
Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance management, and regulatory compliance
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong team spirit and professional attitude
