In this role, you will design and optimize PHY algorithms for real-time embedded platforms, bridging physical-layer signal processing with high-reliability hardware. You’ll work across RF, FPGA, and systems teams to deliver low-latency, deterministic DSP pipelines under tight deadlines. This is a hands-on, cross-disciplinary position that shapes advanced SATCOM solutions and contributes to mission-critical connectivity across the globe. Verantwortungsbereiche
- DSP PHY development: synchronization, channel estimation/equalization, FEC, OFDM/DFT-s-OFDM, HARQ
- Design and implement real-time, deterministic pipelines across ISRs, DMA, and RTOS tasks
- Embedded SoC development on ARM-based platforms with low-level HW interfaces
- RTOS and low-level systems: interrupts, DMA, timers, drivers, bounded latency
- Performance optimization: profiling, latency/jitter analysis, memory/cache optimization
- Code quality and refactoring: maintainable, well-tested code and documentation
- Cross-functional collaboration with RF, FPGA, modem, and systems teams
- Reliability & testing: unit tests, simulation, CI, static analysis
Zentrale Anforderungen
- BSc/MSc in Electrical/Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience in DSP + real-time embedded development for communications
- Strong digital communications and PHY signal processing: synchronization, estimation, channel coding/decoding, OFDM/DFT-s-OFDM, MIMO
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded development
- Experience with RTOS/bare-metal, interrupts, DMA, deterministic scheduling, multi-threaded/lock-free designs
- Ability to understand and improve existing codebases and learn new platforms quickly
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and/or Python (NumPy/SciPy) for modeling and validation
