As Electrical Engineer Cabling at Damen Naval, you design and integrate complex cabling systems for advanced naval vessels. You translate architectures into practical cable routes, ensuring EMC, separation, and installation feasibility within a 3DExperience environment. You collaborate across Electrical, Outfitting, and Mechanical teams to deliver production-ready, safe, and compliant cabling solutions. Aufgaben
- Design and document detailed cable routes, lists, and interfaces based on system architecture and functional descriptions
- Ensure compliance with EMC, fire safety, separation, and protection standards during cabling design
- Collaborate with Electrical, Outfitting, and Mechanical teams to align routing with space and construction constraints
- Maintain and develop cabling standards, templates, and design methodologies
- Review vendor documentation and integrate their cabling requirements into the ship design
- Support production and installation with detailed routing drawings, BOMs, and installation guidelines
- Contribute to system validation through cable verification and continuity checks during FAT/HAT/SAT
- Participate in design reviews to optimize accessibility, maintainability, and lifecycle support
Zentrale Anforderungen
- At least 3 years of experience in detailed cabling design and integration for complex electrical installations (maritime, offshore, or aerospace)
- Familiarity with cable routing in 3D environments and CAD/PLM tools (3DExperience, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical)
- Experience with system engineering principles in a multidisciplinary project structure
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Knowledge of EMC-compliant design and cable separation/shielding practices
- Excellent references and security screening as part of hiring process
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required; visa or dual nationality with non-EU are not eligible
