Experteer Overview
As an Electrical Engineer at Damen Naval, you join the team delivering advanced ASWF frigates in collaboration with the Royal Netherlands Navy and international partners. You will design reliable, regulation-compliant electrical systems and power distribution for high-end ships, addressing EMC and redundancy requirements to keep vessels operational in demanding conditions. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to develop electrical architectures, specifications, and validation plans. This role offers impact on critical naval projects and the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge warship electrification.

Aufgaben
- Develop functional descriptions and drawings for power distribution, lighting, and electrical systems for ASWF frigates
- Create and maintain specifications for electrical components and installation processes in line with military and classification standards
- Prepare test and validation plans for Class regulations during simulations and FAT/HAT/SAT
- Coordinate and manage vendors/subcontractors to meet project goals
- Review designs from vendors and integrate into ship electrical architecture
- Develop and update standards/methods for electrical engineering and commissioning within the ASWF framework
- Support proposal phases with conceptual electrical designs and technical input
- Provide technical support and participate in commissioning activities for contracted projects
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 3+ years of experience in designing complex electrical systems for maritime, offshore, or defence projects
- Proven track record on multidisciplinary projects with multiple suppliers
- Experience in model-based system engineering (MBSE) using the V-model
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Experience designing EMC-compliant electrical systems; TEMPEST or similar military standards is a plus
- Security screening is mandatory; EU citizenship and passport required
