In this Medical Director role within Roche’s pRED Immunology Early Development, you will shape clinical development strategy for the Immunology portfolio and guide cross-functional asset teams. You will translate scientific insight into actionable plans that balance speed, regulatory, and operational needs, while elevating external partnerships. You’ll serve as a clinical expert across discovery and development, driving high-quality progress with urgency. This role combines scientific leadership with strategic influence in a mission-focused, collaborative environment at Roche.
Aufgaben
- Define and implement clinical development strategy for assets within the Immunology portfolio
- Develop and communicate strategic options considering speed, regulatory, business, and operational needs
- Provide clinical and development expertise for discovery projects
- Lead clinical asset teams in a matrix organisation to ensure high performance, quality, and timely delivery
- Build and support partnering strategies, evaluating external opportunities with clinical assessments and development plans
- Represent the Immunology Early Development group internally and externally at conferences and international meetings
Zentrale Anforderungen
- MD with Board Certification (or equivalent deep disease-area expertise) in a relevant field (e.g., immunology, gastroenterology, renal, respiratory, rheumatology)
- Established scientific reputation and potential PhD with a demonstrable track record
- Significant experience in early pharmaceutical drug development (proof-of-mechanism/concept in relevant diseases)
- Proven leadership experience in a matrix or line-management context
- Effective communication to articulate complex concepts across all organization levels
