In this Senior Accountant role, you will manage VAT reporting, Intrastat, EC Sales Lists, and related accounting tasks across European entities. You will work closely with Supply Chain and Legal teams to ensure regulatory compliance and data accuracy, while acting as a D365 and ExFlow superuser to optimize processes. The position supports monthly and quarterly closings and engages with tax authorities and internal stakeholders to meet deadlines. This role combines cross-border compliance with hands-on accounting and system optimization in a dynamic, international environment.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Prepare and submit VAT reports and EC Sales Lists for multiple European countries
Collect and process data from ERP systems (e.g., D365) and logistics tools (e.g., Sciformation) for VAT reporting
Collaborate with Supply Chain and Legal teams to ensure system access and documentation
Ensure correct VAT numbers and reporting codes per local regulations
Calculate reverse charge VAT and import VAT, validate documentation, and reconcile VAT accounts
Upload reporting files to SharePoint following internal guidelines
Liaise with local tax authorities and internal teams regarding deadlines, payments, and reconciliations
Act as a superuser in D365 and ExFlow, resolving errors and optimizing processes
Provide general accounting support (fixed assets, payments) and assist the business
Participate in monthly and quarterly closings, including accruals and reconciliations

Zentrale Anforderungen

Relevant accounting education and several years of VAT/accounting experience in an international context
Excellent verbal communication skills
Strong knowledge of ERP systems, especially Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 FO)
Experience with VAT reporting across multiple EU countries and understanding of Intrastat and EC Sales List
Ability to work independently and systematically with complex data and deadlines
Strong collaboration and cross-country communication skills
German language skills are a plus but not required
