Experteer Overview

As Senior Category Manager at zooplus, you will own and grow a key DACH category, shaping strategy and driving commercial performance. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to translate customer insights into growth and optimize the customer journey. You’ll manage pricing, promotions, and assortment while partnering with Marketing, CRM, Vendor Management, Pricing, and Shop Operations. This role offers high visibility, international collaboration, and a real chance to influence strategy in Europe’s leading pet e-commerce business.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Define and execute the annual category strategy aligned with business objectives
Drive revenue growth, profitability, and overall commercial performance
Analyze customer behavior, market trends, and category performance to identify opportunities
Develop pricing recommendations and support pricing optimization
Create and execute promotional and campaign plans to drive engagement and growth
Monitor campaign performance and optimize activities based on results
Optimize merchandising, product visibility, and customer journeys to improve conversion
Collaborate with Marketing, CRM, Vendor Management, Pricing, and Shop Operations to implement growth initiatives
Drive growth of Own Brand products through targeted initiatives
Provide category insights to influence broader commercial decisions and priorities
Coach and support junior team members as a category expert

Zentrale Anforderungen

Several years of experience in Category Management, Buying, Merchandising, or related role
Experience in e-commerce, retail, FMCG, consumer goods, or fast-paced commercial environment
Proven track record of driving category growth and profitability
Strong analytical skills with data interpretation to inform actions
Experience managing pricing, promotions, assortment, or trading activities
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Fluent English and German (minimum B1)
Ownership mindset and bias for action
AI-native mindset and ability to embed AI into daily workflow
