Experteer Overview
In this Data Analyst role at Guerrilla, you translate player data into actionable insights to support decisions across development teams. You’ll work with designers, producers, engineers, and user researchers to analyze player behavior, define metrics, and shape experimentation and telemetry initiatives. You will help ensure data quality and communicate findings that inform gameplay decisions and feature performance. This position offers meaningful impact by enabling data-driven improvements across gameplay domains in a collaborative studio environment.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Support analytics for gameplay domains (e.g., progression, combat, economy, onboarding) with goals, measurement plans, and analytics roadmaps
- Analyze player behavior to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities to boost engagement and experience
- Collaborate with design, production, engineering, user research, and publishing to frame questions and deliver insights
- Define success metrics by translating goals into KPIs and standard metrics suitable for development teams
- Contribute to the design and validation of gameplay telemetry and event taxonomy for effective measurement
- Monitor data quality, completeness, and reliability, communicating limitations clearly
- Translate analyses into clear insights and recommendations to inform design, production, and product decisions
- Support experimentation and measurement efforts for gameplay features to evaluate impact
- Senior level: own analytics initiatives for key gameplay domains and drive analytical investigations
- Senior level: identify opportunities, shape analytical roadmaps, lead telemetry evolution, guide experimentation strategies, and mentor analysts
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver analytical insights
- Advanced SQL skills with large behavioural datasets (e.g., event streams / telemetry)
- Strong analytical and quantitative reasoning (distributions, correlations, cohort analysis)
- Ability to translate ambiguous questions into scoped analyses and actionable insights
- Strong understanding of games and player behaviour
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience with gameplay telemetry or instrumentation in complex products
- Experience with Python (and Jupyter notebooks) or applied ML techniques for product/game questions
