Experteer Overview
In this role you will drive the development of next-generation variable speed drives with a focus on energy-efficient, reliable power electronics for HVAC and water drives. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary engineering team to transform concepts into robust solutions while advancing electrification and sustainability. You will tackle challenging design, validation, and continuous improvement tasks, collaborating cross-functionally to meet customer and business needs. Verantwortungsbereiche
- Design and develop power electronic solutions for next-generation variable speed drives (simulation, prototyping, testing, validation)
- Advance converter topologies, power stages, magnetic components, SMPS, thermal and EMC-ready designs
- Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., SiC) to improve efficiency and reliability
- Coordinate with systems, hardware, software, mechanical, supply chain and procurement to meet requirements
- Support verification, reliability, risk assessments, and knowledge sharing within engineering
- Contribute to functional safety considerations and robust design practices with cross-functional teams
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Master's degree in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Several years of experience in power electronic solutions for drives or similar
- Deep knowledge in magnetics, SMPS, EMC, or functional safety
- Experience with simulation tools (PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink, LTspice)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Experience with reliability engineering, DFMEA, design verification and DFx principles; knowledge of SiC advantageous
