Experteer Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer on the EngExp platform, you will own the reliability and operability of CJ’s production systems across AWS regions. You’ll set platform standards, review changes, and mentor others while tackling core infrastructure like observability, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cost visibility. Your impact is ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable platforms that power CJ’s engineering and product initiatives. This role offers hands-on leadership in a multi-region, cloud-first environment.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Own the reliability and operability of EngExp systems across regions.
- Establish and enforce platform standards (RBAC, admission webhooks, resource limits).
- Manage infrastructure-as-code with Terraform across AWS accounts.
- Act as a high-quality reviewer of infrastructure changes (Terraform, Kubernetes configs, CI/CD, observability).
- Create self-service workflows for common requests while minimizing misuse.
- Drive incident resolution with focus on long-term improvements.
- Evaluate new patterns (Gateway API / Kgateway) for tradeoffs, not hype.
- Mentor and develop less-senior engineers to raise team depth.
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 6+ years of software and/or infrastructure engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Deep, hands-on production experience operating Kubernetes and AWS at scale across multiple accounts and regions
- Operational depth in at least one owned system beyond the cluster (observability stack preferred)
- Strong AWS networking judgment (VPC, peering, Transit Gateway, subnet/CIDR design)
- Track record as a critical reviewer—identifying subtle issues and long-term risks
- Experience leading technical work and mentoring engineers; strong communication and influence in product-focused design
