Experteer Overview

In this role you will engineer and manage GPON/FTTx fixed access networks, driving supplier coordination and design for European Vodafone markets. You’ll define planning and installation specifications, and oversee service deployment, performance optimization, and security hardening. Working within Vodafone’s VOIS Spain hub, you will support cross-functional teams in delivering scalable, high‑quality fixed access solutions. This is an opportunity to shape next‑generation access networks and contribute to a global technology agenda.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Manage network elements lifecycle and supplier interactions in GPON/FFTx Fixed Access
Develop fiber access connectivity designs and evaluate supplier tenders for European markets
Oversee supplier selection and negotiate technical contract conditions
Create planning, implementation, and installation specs and configure connectivity
Develop interference suppression and optimization rules and support system acceptance
Lifecycle management of fixed access xPON/FTTx platforms (OLT, L2 ONT, EMS, SDN)
Define capacity management rules for fixed access xPON/FTTH to ensure performance
Coordinate implementation for new xPON/FTTHx projects
Implement new services for Consumer, Enterprise, and Mobile Backhauling over xPON/FTTx
Support testing for SW upgrades, bug fixes, security patches; prepare HLD/LLD for new services
Implement Vodafone security policies to harden fixed access platforms
Automate network activities in fixed access xPON/FTTx platforms using scripting or RPA

Zentrale Anforderungen

University degree in Telecommunication with 5+ years of experience
Strong knowledge of fixed access technologies (GPON, XGSPON, PON variants) and SDN
Experience with protocols/interfaces in OSS/SDN-C: XML, JSON, SOAP, RESTconf, Netconf, YANG, OpenFlow, Kafka, CORBA
Proficiency with Web Services in OSS/SDN-C (Keycloak, Grafana, MariaDB)
Understanding of switching/routing protocols (VLAN, L2/L3 QoS) and authentication/validation protocols (PPP, DHCP)
Strong cross-functional teamwork experience
Advanced English
