Experteer Overview
As a Technologist at LabCorp, you will perform analytical testing and support the lab’s operations to ensure accurate patient results. You’ll work with precision on routine and complex assays, monitor and maintain instruments, and assist with new reagents and quality control. You will collaborate with a team to deliver timely results while upholding safety and quality standards. This role offers exposure to a busy, patient-focused lab environment and opportunities to influence testing quality at scale.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Accept specimens for testing according to criteria
- Perform routine and complex procedures per SOP
- Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation
- Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
- Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
- Report accurate and timely test results
- Perform preventative maintenance and QC procedures
- Identify and replenish testing bench supplies
- Assist with processing of specimens when needed
- Maintain a safe work environment and PPE compliance
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience OR MLS degree
- ASCP or AMT certification (preferred)
- Proficient with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) is a plus
- Ability to work independently and in a team; strong communication and organizational skills
- Must pass a standardized color vision screen
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts as needed
