In this contract role, you will lead UX research projects from scoping to insights delivery, partnering with clients to shape product direction. You’ll conduct in-person sessions at client sites in San Francisco and translate findings into actionable recommendations. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to drive measurable impact and contribute to AnswerLab’s knowledge base. This is an opportunity to influence design decisions for major brands and grow your consultancy skills.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Build trusted client relationships and provide consultative guidance to move the research process forward
Lead UX research studies end-to-end, including methodology scoping, moderator guide development, and prototype testing support
Moderate in-person and remote sessions and conduct field interviews as needed
Analyze findings and deliver insights addressing the research questions
Craft recommendations aligned with findings for product development
Create presentations and deliverables to communicate findings and recommendations
Collaborate with clients to ensure reports meet business needs and present results to stakeholders
Suggest improvements to internal processes and establish best practices with clients
Maintain project schedules, scope, and budget; contribute to AnswerLab’s knowledge library

Zentrale Anforderungen

4+ years of hands-on qualitative UX research experience
Experience leading consulting engagements with clients or management consulting with data-backed conclusions
Design and write discussion guides, screeners, test protocols, and final reports
Proficient with online/remote research tools (e.g., Zoom, WebEx, GoToMeeting)
Experience presenting to senior-level managers and executives
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results
Strong communication and facilitation skills
Ability to engage with Fortune 500 clients
Bachelor or higher in relevant fields preferred (e.g., Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, HCI)
In-person work availability at client sites in SF
