Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Accountant in San Jose, California. The selected candidate will be primarily responsible for managing all payroll-related tasks in our construction industry setting. They will be the primary point of contact for payroll and will work on Sage Timberline and mainly ADP. The role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of payroll data, with strong ADP experience being a top priority.Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of payroll, ensuring all processes are executed appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Operate as the main point of contact for payroll-related inquiries.
• Utilize Sage Timberline and ADP for payroll processing.
• Conduct data quality checks throughout the payroll process for a team of 250 employees.
• Handle all non-union payroll in a construction company environment.
• Leverage strong ADP experience to manage and streamline payroll processes.
• Oversee full cycle payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Process weekly payroll, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time.
• Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) tasks as needed.
• Use Sage Timberline software to enhance payroll processes and ensure accuracy.
Requirements
• Proficiency in ADP - Payroll• Experience with Full Cycle Payroll
• Ability to Process Payroll on a weekly basis
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures
• Expertise in using Sage Timberline software
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
